I read about Izwe Loans from a newspaper and I decided to make a call. Izwe approved my loan and money was in my bank account almost immediately.
Mr. Vusi Mkabela
I am Vusi Mkabela and work as a teacher at Bukhosibethu Primary here at Driekoppies where I live. This is a rural area under the late Chief Shongwe. I was born here and I live here with my wife and my two children. In addition, I have a big extended family and we always have a family gathering two times a year. That is why I decided to build another big house here at home.
The house I am building has two big bedrooms, a big sitting room and two toilets. Building this house has not been easy. I first used my own savings of about R18 000 to buy building materials. When I started building the house, I realised that I needed to take a loan to top up my own savings in order to finish building the house quicker. I read about Izwe Loans from a newspaper and I decided to make a call. They told me to submit my payslip, copy of ID, and bank statements. Izwe approved my loan and money was in my bank account almost immediately.
My first loan from Izwe was for R4 000, which I used to pay a local builder and added a little bit of materials. My second loan was an amount of R7 000 which I used to purchase roof trusses and more roof tiles. I used my third loan of another R7 000 to buy paint, cement and sand for the floor of the house. My house is nearing completion and I will now need another loan for ceiling, window panes, doors and pay the builder to finish the house. Everybody will be happy in the family when we meet at the next family gathering later this year.”
I intend to go back to Izwe for more loans because I now want to continue adding more rooms and a double garage.
Mr. Sikelele Masitela
“My name is Sikelele Masitela. I live in the rural area of Mbuzini here in Mpumalanga Province. Our area is next to the border with Swaziland on the south Mozambique on the east. I have lived in this area all my life. I had two wives but my other wife has since passed away. I now live with my one wife and nine children from my two wives. Three of my children are now doing tertiary education.
One day I was walking in the street of Nelspruit when I saw the Izwe Loans office and decided to enquire about getting a loan. I was happy how quickly Izwe offered me a loan after I had submitted all the documents they needed from me.
Although I was planning to extend my house, I decided to use my first loan of R6 000 to pay for the education of my children at tertiary institutions. I later went back to Izwe for another loan to extend my house. I took a loan of R10 000 which I used to add a room to my house and renovate the whole house. With the money, I bought building materials and pay a local builder who built the extra room and did the renovations. Originally, this house only had three rooms and now has four rooms.
I intend to go back to Izwe for more loans because I now want to continue adding more rooms and a double garage. I also want to change the roof of the whole house and use tiles, instead of corrugated iron.
